Cruisin’ Down the Nile

Natalya and I joined up with Justin and Coral for a cruise up the Nile River for 3 nights / 4 days on the Presidential Nile Cruises.   This was the shortest cruise available and hit all the major points we were interested in seeing.  It was a cheap cruise, but suitable for what we needed – just a bed to sleep and a boat to travel onto all the sights!  We had a sort-of pleasant tour guide, a nice big sundeck to lay out on and relax, a bar for boozing, extensive buffets for meals, and plenty of cheesy cruise ship games to play.

We were also very lucky to have a nice young age demographic on our particular cruise as there was a large  student group from University of Maryland.  A professor of archaeology organized the whole trip, which makes me wish I hadn’t studied economics…

Cruise Day 1: Aswan, kom Ombo
High Dam and Temple of Philae, Temple of the two gods Sobek and Horus

Cruise Day 2: Edfu, Esna

Cruise Day 3: Luxor
